There’s something uniquely nostalgic about the State Fair. It’s an experience you just have to enjoy at least once in life! And, as a traveling medical professional, you have the benefit of going to visit many different locations where you can see life in the USA and around the world with new eyes. When is the 2021 Fair? This year, it’ll run from Thursday, April 29th through Sunday, May 9th. The Fairgrounds are located Southeast of Downtown Shreveport and you can use this Google Maps link to find it.
Some of the upcoming featured events include:
- Concerts with an exciting array of musical talent such as Louisiana native Frank Foster, Tone Loc, Titus & Company, The Rockin’ Redeyes and more!
- Automotive enthusiasts, better watch out! There will be a Car Show on May 2nd in conjunction with the Fair (but with separate admission price).
- Looking for kid-friendly activities? State Fairs typically feature lots of fluffy and furry animals to enjoy. Check out this link for information about the Livestock Show that will be going on during the Fair.
- Don’t forget the yummy Fair food! The State Fair just wouldn’t be the same without cotton candy, funnel cakes, corn dogs on a stick or beer. Yes, as a nurse, you know that fried / high calorie food isn’t healthy, but maybe splurging occasionally is okay?!
