Holidays are always such a great excuse to connect with friends and family. Easter is only a few weeks away and, although the health crisis is better than at this time last year, there’s still a need for safety and consideration of others. In this post, we’ll discuss some ideas for celebrating spring with loved ones…wherever they may be. We hope that our temporary housing for travel nurses is a welcoming, relaxing environment where families as well as individuals are encouraged. Happy spring!
Count the ways to celebrate Easter!
Looking for some ideas to enjoy the season? We’ve got a variety of options, including crafts for kids as well as things that adults would enjoy.
For Families Near and Far
- Do a virtual “egg hunt” with the family. The Cadbury company has created an online system where you can “hide” an egg almost anywhere in the world and then send a clue to your loved ones asking them to find it!
- Hide eggs around the house for your kids. If your family is living with you while you’re on assignment, simply buy some plastic eggs and hide them around the rental. Your children will have a blast trying to find them!
- Decorate Easter eggs even though you won’t be hiding them. Half of the fun can be in the craft activities surrounding Easter. Most grocery stores carry egg dye kits that are easy and fun. Or, if you prefer natural dyes, this article explains what you’ll need to achieve different colors.
- Check out this Parade article for other resources, including Easter-themed app recommendations, game ideas and more.
- If you feel like going to an Easter hunt, look into the Easter Egg Scramble at the Bossier City Farmers Market or the Eggfest 2021. There’s also an East Bank Easter Market and a Scavenger Hunt…all are on the first weekend of April.
For Individuals
- Buy yourself a big bouquet of flowers to set on the table. There’s nothing like the fresh scent of roses or the cheery face of a daisy to brighten up your day.
- Get an Easter or spring-themed adult coloring book and work on it during your free time!
- Invite a friend over and make a delicious brunch together to celebrate. Our fully furnished short term rentals each have a kitchen area complete with utensils, stove, toaster, casserole dishes and more. The Food Network has some recipes if you’re in need of some ideas.
- Treat yourself by sleeping in late. As an adult, sleep just might be the greatest gift of all.
Our temporary housing for travel nurses features one or more bedrooms as well as a couch with sleeper sofa. The bedrooms are equipped with a room air purifier and sound machine for encouraging deep, restful sleep.
Hospital shifts are long and grueling, so when looking for a Shreveport rental, choose someplace that makes your comfort a priority. - Check out this article for other craft ideas etc.
