- Sam’s Club is the older and wiser sister to Walmart. With a Sam’s membership, you’ll obtain a whole variety of cost-saving solutions, such as bulk pricing for toiletries, vitamins, fruit, vegetables and more. Our fully furnished travel nurse housing features an equipped kitchen area that’s just waiting for you to stock the fridge and start cooking. When you rent from us, you’ll have access to kitchen bonuses such as a Keurig machine, large skillets with lids, Pyrex or Corning Ware casserole dishes, stove and more. Back to our topic, though, Sam’s also gives you discounts through its fuel stations (usually located next to the store). The fuel savings can be significant, so it’s totally worth the Sam’s membership cost.
- Costco is very similar to Sam’s in that they offer bulk discounts on food items as well as for gasoline through their fuel stations. Shreveport and Bossier City do not have Costco locations currently, but if you’re passing through the Dallas, Texas area, you can use a Costco there before heading on to your hospital assignment here.
- Shell Gasoline‘s Fuel Reward program. Want to save five cents off per gallon for up to 20 gallons? Sign up for the rewards program with Shell and you can! Simply fill up six times during a three-month span to keep your status. There are other ways to save too, including linking your account with Choice Hotels, dining at select restaurants etc.
- Exxon Mobil Fuel Rewards+ is another company-specific program designed to help you earn and save at the fuel pump. They also have a Premium status where you can save an additional amount when fueling.
- GasBuddy is a unique rewards program that isn’t tied to a specific company. When you use their free gas card, you can save up to 25 cents per gallon. There’s also an app for your convenience! Check out the website for more helpful information including a USA map that shows gas prices based on each state and a city-by-city breakdown of the cheapest fuel in the area (as sourced from other consumers!). Truly, GasBuddy is an invaluable tool.’ll save money on your gas.
