Celebrate the Fourth of July this year with a boom! Last year was tough for everyone, but especially for medical professionals and all of our heroes working in the hospitals. What better way to party this year than with fireworks?! In this post, we’ll give you the lowdown on several local Shreveport Independence Day events as well as where you can snag a great fully furnished solution for travel nurse housing. Where to see fireworks displays

- KTBS’ FreedomFest will be at several locations in the area. You can watch the fireworks from your car and bring a picnic if desired. Musical performances (as well as the fireworks) will also be televised to round out the festivities.
- Cypress Baptist Church is hosting a July Fourth event on July 2nd that includes food trucks as well as a fireworks display.
- Sarepta, Louisiana is about an hour’s drive North from Shreveport and is having their annual Fourth of July event that’s perfect for families, individuals and more.
How to handle the Fourth if you’re a traveling nurse with pets
Independence Day can be a loud celebration and this can be stressful for dogs and cats.
